“We need quiet time to examine our lives openly and honestly - spending quiet time alone gives your mind an opportunity to renew itself and create order.”

Grow in the Grace

Remember today that just like this cabbage none of us are cut exactly the same though the same knife cut them all. None of them have the exact same amount of oil and seasoning on them though it is the exact same oil and seasoning. In the end regardless of your weights and sins if we continue to be cut and seasoned by God's word and His spirit we all will smell the same to Him. And above all else He...God, the Father is the only one who truly matters.

How we show up in the world looks different for each of us. How we respond occasionally may not be the most prized choice. I believe God knew this aforehand so He commands us in His word to be mindful not to judge others but to love and pray for one another. For we will be judged in the same manner by which we judge (Mat.7:1-3). We must choose mercy over comparison and cynicism and genuinely pray one for another. John 13:35 tells us that "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.” This is a true sign of maturity. Because when we openly or privately judge the shortcomings of others (slip our opinions into corrections or admonishments), we distastefully uncover our own hidden or unobvious sins to be judged. Blessing and peace.

Forby grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. Eph 2:8–9
